Each lesson ends with a related position. Its theme stays hidden until you have named the lasting feature yourself.

    Questions about Strategy Ideas Trainer

What does this trainer actually train?

It makes you do five things players often skip: name the lasting feature, compare both plans, choose a move, answer an active reply and find the same idea on a different board.

Where do the positions come from?

Each lesson names its master game or model position after you finish. The review also tells you whether Stockfish agrees with the teaching move or regards it as a sound practical alternative.

How do hints and confidence work?

Record confidence before the first move and the related-position test. The hints move from the relevant feature, to the plan, to the move. Using one lowers the score and brings that idea back sooner.
