Opening guides built around plans, move orders and the positions they create.
Founder and sole author of Chess Doctrine. I write the site’s chess guides and lessons, then check the critical positions against engines and master games.

What I write
I write the opening guides, strategy and endgame articles, annotated games, and the lessons around Chess Doctrine’s trainers. The aim is to explain why a move works, not leave the reader with a line to memorize.
With White, I usually play the Ruy Lopez, English Opening and Réti. With Black, I play the French Defense and King’s Indian Defense. Those are the kinds of positions I know from my own games, but every published line still has to pass the same checks.
How the chess is checked
I draft from playing experience and from the question the page needs to answer. Critical lines are then checked against a chess engine and master-game databases. If the evidence disagrees with the draft, the draft changes.
Dates and authorship stay visible on the page, and corrections are made in the article rather than hidden. The full workflow is documented on the About Us page.
