The Sicilian is not one system with a few moves attached. It is Black's choice to trade the c-pawn for White's d-pawn, then play the position that trade creates. Our Sicilian Defense guide gives the plans. Learn them here, test them on the board, and then play them against the bot.
Eleven lines, one at a time: eight you play as Black, three as White. Step through the moves and the comment for each half-move appears as you reach it. Finish a line and its checkmark stays in your browser.

Where this comes from: every line, coach message, and tactical position in Learn and Drill is grounded in our Sicilian Defense guide and its verified position bank.
This is the core of the trainer. Twenty-five positions across six themes: book moves, plans, traps, punishments, structure, endgame echoes. Every line you step through is drilled at least twice, and the order is shuffled on each run so you answer from the board and not from memory of the queue. Click or drag a piece to play your answer. A wrong move gets a concrete refutation, and hints come in two stages before the answer itself is offered. Your score, streak, and solved drills stay in this browser.
Keyboard: Enter next drill · H hint · R reset the position.
Now play it out. Pick a variation, set the bot's strength (seven named levels, or the Elo slider from 600 to 2500), and start. The coach card watches your moves and speaks up when the game walks into something the guide covers. When the game ends, run the review.
Six positions from the guide, each with opposing goals tied to one board asset. Pick one to restart the board at that variation.
Four directions, each with a reason. Everything below links to a page that exists today.
