The Albin Counter Gambit turns a quiet Queen's Gambit into a race after 2...e5. As Black, you give up the e-pawn to build a wedge on d4, develop with tempo, and attack before White untangles. Learn when that initiative is real, rehearse the Lasker and Greedy Queen traps, then play six starts from Black's side.
Study eight bank-backed lines: four show White's fianchetto, prudent Bd2, queenless ending, and anti-greed defense; four train Black's e4 break, h-file combination, Lasker Trap, and Greedy Queen Trap.

Source trail: every move and board comes from the Albin Counter Gambit guide, its four book seeds, and its complete position bank. The five retained tests carry the guide's evaluations +0.74, +0.12, +0.08, +0.30, and +0.20.
The 16 boards cover the d4 wedge, the g3 setup, opposite-side castling, the h-pawn race, queen exchange, e4-f4 center, checking underpromotion, and the c2 double threat. Every named miss is legal in its exact setup.

Choose one of six verified starts and set the opponent from 600 to 2500. Eleven direct coach rules recognize the pawn offer, fianchetto, long castle, h-file race, d3 deflection, center break, queen trade, and both traps.
The six starts contain the exact Albin base, verbatim seeds for the accepted main line, 4.e4, 3.cxd5, and 3.Nc3, plus the no-book Lasker promotion position. Every goal names an original piece or pawn, a square, and a deadline.
