I’m Emre Sancakli, a chess coach and writer based in Turkey. My current chess.com ratings — verifiable via the profile linked above — are 2410 blitz, 2380 rapid, and 2557 bullet, which puts me among the strongest bullet players on the platform.

Coaching is the part of chess I care about most. Over the years I’ve worked with more than 100 students, ranging from adult beginners to tournament players. The openings I most enjoy teaching are the Italian Game, French Defense, and King’s Indian — they reward students who understand why a move is played, not just which move to play.
